The other night I was at a lounge with some of my boys chilling. I didn’t go out that night intentionally to pick up women. What usually happens is  whenever I’m out having a great time enjoying life and my friends company it attracts women to me. This is normal and a good thing. I agree that more guys really need to start having a social life and go out with their friends \to have fun, not worrying about an outcome. So i got a huge stare down from a girl down the bar. I didn’t break eye contact and gave her that sly bruce willie smile. (I try to at least) When I’m walking past her table i stop and say what’s up, hows everything tonight? I’m very casual no canned material. When i pick up women i don’t usually use any of those canned pick-up artist lines or bar openers. Not my style anymore.

Now I’m talking to this young women and she starts with those interview questions which i hate. Then she gets to what’s my sign? I make her guess. She guesses correct and totally impresses me. So now I’m talking to her about reading people and if she really believes in astrological signs. She agrees that it’s silly and it’s more of a fun conversation starter. We start talking about why do people still use that one, can’t they find something better to start conversation with. Although she agrees that it is way over used and getting corny, her friends and her still use that one and talk about peoples signs.

So this brings me to the conclusion that the old stuff still holds up these days. If you’re out there trying to pick-up women and you find yourself talking about each others signs, go for it! Just don’t stay on that topic too long. Let me know what you think about that one using your sign as a conversation or bar opener.
