I’ve noticed something about a lot of instructors who teach guys questionable methods to meet and date women.

They teach control.

What do I mean by that? They want guys to believe that the way to make things happen with a woman is to control every situation.

For example, many instructors teach guys how to get a girl’s phone number, commonly known as a “#-close”… and they teach guys to get it as fast as possible.

That’s B.S. thinking.

The Alpha male” - I use this phrase a lot… Here is quick run down of what it means to me. If you watch animal shows on PBS or Discovery Channel, many species have a dominant male who has sex with all the females in the group, while the other males get none while waiting for him to die or until they are tough enough to kick his ass and become the alpha male themselves. Many males never get to be an alpha male (never get laid).

Do you use terms of endearment when you call upon the women in your life? I used to feel like it was very cheesy and babyish… I still think some of these words are ridiculous and you would never catch me saying some of these to a women. I usually will text or say only these terms: Baby girl, babe, hun, sexy, cute, etc… Once in a while i will go outside the box and say something silly but in a comical sense.. I just feel it is very un manly to use some of these words and it will make you look more like a chump then a Player. If you want to be a good player and be able to successful at picking up women you must not be weak and act like a wuss or a little boy…

The Pickup Artist, Mystery (Erik Von Markovich ) who single handedly conceived the Mystery Method, is now respected as one for the worlds greatest pickup artist. He has been in various publications, spoken at many seminars and has been invited to guest speak at dozens of men’s self-development conferences specializing in how to pick up women and be the pickup artist.

So apparently, VH1’s “The Pickup Artist” is a mostly scripted show with lots of aspiring actors from LA. Lots of us thought this from the beginning anyway. Has Mystery sold out the PUA community to increase his bank accounts? Even Mystery couldn’t sell some of his best techniques & strategies to VH1 to demonstrate in the show. The producers only want the easy routines and scripts that they think will sell to the audience. VH1 only wants the drama and action that will sell.. It’s no surprise who got kicked off the show in the order they did. The better more popular actors will always win.

I watched most of episode 5 last Monday after hanging at a pool party. I’m starting to like some aspects of the show lately. When The Pickup Artist on VH1 first aired i thought it was a stupid show and a bad idea for the whole seduction and the pickup artist community. Since Mystery would be exposing his Mystery Method as well as many of the openers and lines that PUA’s are using these days i figured how could this be a good thing. I’ve noticed lots of guys out at the clubs who are trying real hard to be pickup artist just because they saw a  couple episodes and think they can do it. Women are also becoming aware of the opinion openers and canned stories and routines as well as the lingo Mystery uses on the show.
