The Pickup Artist VH1 - Episode 5 Review

I watched most of episode 5 last Monday after hanging at a pool party. I’m starting to like some aspects of the show lately. When The Pickup Artist on VH1 first aired i thought it was a stupid show and a bad idea for the whole seduction and the pickup artist community. Since Mystery would be exposing his Mystery Method as well as many of the openers and lines that PUA’s are using these days i figured how could this be a good thing. I’ve noticed lots of guys out at the clubs who are trying real hard to be pickup artist just because they saw a  couple episodes and think they can do it. Women are also becoming aware of the opinion openers and canned stories and routines as well as the lingo Mystery uses on the show.

I hear lots of guys in the community who are complaining these days about the show and how it will eventually ruin everything and expose the pickup artist community to the public. It wont really matter guys. Life will still go on, not much will change. Once this show is over most women wont even remember it anyway. And if your a smooth natural then you’re not even reading this because your way too busy enjoying your wonderful lifestyle…

Now I live in a very small city, and i notice this stuff almost every night I’m out. It must be even more noticeable in NYC and LA. I thought long about the whole thing and I’ve realized now that in the long run this is not a bad idea to have the show on TV for everyone to see. I think maybe I’m being to much of a hypocrite of these newbies who want to be pickup artist and are wearing one too many accessories in the peacocking department. They are young guys learning what is necessary. I was once like them a couple years ago, using memorized routines and lines without having much personality. I’m still working on improving. The idea behind all theses routines will always work anyway. I realized that when you do a routine during attraction everything is all happening so fast on a subconscious level anyway. most women will not think anything of it, even after they watched the pickup artist show. If you’re cool then you are really cool, you can’t fake it, they can see it anyway.

So if you continue to rely on an artificial method and stay with your canned stories and routines then yes you might eventually get called out on it one night. Now if you decide to become a real pickup artist and understand why these routines work and why women react to them  this will help your inner-game to develop and you will slowly become a natural. i don’t believe that you can never be a natural. Naturals are made not born in my opinion.

The natural pickup artist should not have any problems when socializing and picking up women because of this show on VH1. He can handle himself and attract and pickup women under their radar when their analyzing the methods used on the TV show. I know this because i still see men picking up women. I watch more closely and these naturals are all demonstrating the same concepts more or less in their own style.

You must work on your inner game and become a natural. Use these concepts that Mystery teaches and demonstrates, but come up with your own great stories and routines.

I think the lessons where Mystery teaches the guys tools, tactics and body language is very valuable to the men viewers of the show. I personally don’t care for all the drama and the games they play to win the challenge of the night, but i understand that this is just what VH1 wants to make it a more popular show.

On “the Pickup Artist” Episode 5, Mystery has a pool party at the house on the lake and the guys must wear speedo’s around the pool and interact with these girls. Now most of these guys are intimidated since they don’t have the model figure in these speedo’s. The guys all talk to women and do their thing that Mystery has taught them. I like that Mystery demonstrated the correct body language to them in this episode.

They all get on the Manhood bus and go to the outdoor coffee shop in downtown where they are to approach groups of girls in the daytime (daygame). Joe gets a little dog to use ad his prop to attract girls. it works great only Joe doesn’t really know where to go with it after the girls approach him. Somehow Pradeep wins the challenge. he seems to find the nerdy bookworm girl who would be most interested in his philosophical conversations. She gives Pradeep her business card and he successfully picks up his first girl and becomes immune from elimination.

Here is what I say, IT DOESN’T MATTER!

You can just tell when someone doesn’t believe their own bullshit. Women can tell too. So, let the chumps pick up a few things off of TV. I don’t really consider the PUA community a secret..why just the other day a friend of mine was telling me about this book that I just HAVE to read called..yup, The Game.

I’m actually pretty impressed with Mystery’s ability to just keep turning his ideas into cash cows. The man is fucking BRILLIANT! He seduced a network into forking over money to do something he loves! How many other people have the sheer satisfaction of getting paid the big bucks to live their dreams?

So let the players play and let he who has the best game win.

Maybe I can get a spot on the show…
